United Airlines is preparing to reinstate its seasonal flights from Newark Airport in New York to Dubrovnik later in May.
The airline’s service for this year is scheduled to begin on May 26, 2023, and will include four weekly flights from Newark to Dubrovnik until September 27, 2023.
The 214-seat Boeing 767-300ER will be deployed for this transatlantic route.
United Airlines had a strong performance on this route in 2022, serving 28,445 passengers in a span of four months. This represents a growth of 64.8% from the previous year.
In 2022, United Airlines was the sole carrier on this route as Delta Air Lines only kept services between JFK and Dubrovnik for one season. American Airlines, which previously had a summer service from Philadelphia to Dubrovnik in 2019, also does not currently operate this service.
United Airlines expressed its pleasure in returning to Dubrovnik in 2023 and resuming nonstop flights to the United States. The airline stated that the resumption of flights to New York/Newark would provide customers in Croatia with a direct link to the US and an unparalleled network of routes from United’s hub at New York/Newark, offering easy nonstop connections to more than ninety destinations across the Americas.
