Travel + Leisure, a highly-regarded American magazine, just shared their top 25 picks for the world’s most gorgeous cities on their website. And you know what? Croatia’s very own Dubrovnik made the list!
The magazine spilled the beans on how they handpicked the cities for their list. Some of the factors they considered were jaw-dropping views, expansive parks, historic marvels, top-notch museums, impressive mountains, bustling markets, and picturesque squares. But hey, beauty’s in the eye of the beholder, right? So, this list might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
Dubrovnik snagged the 18th spot, and it’s no wonder! With its awe-inspiring architecture, ancient city walls, and breathtaking Adriatic coastline, Dubrovnik’s beauty is hard to deny.
And guess who stole the show? Sydney, Australia! Travel + Leisure praised the city for its stunning beaches, incredible cape views, lovely parks and gardens, abundant sunshine, and cleanliness.
The top 10 is rounded out by other amazing cities like Barcelona, Queenstown, Istanbul, Paris, San Francisco, Palermo, Cape Town, Seoul, and Cartagena.
Dubrovnik joined other fabulous cities on the list, such as Kyoto, Rio de Janeiro, Tbilisi, Rome, Hoi An, London, Buenos Aires, Sedona, Chefchaouen, Taipei, Edinburgh, San Miguel de Allende, Singapore, and New York. Keep in mind, though, that the list is subjective and not meant to be an exhaustive ranking.
So, if you’re looking for your next vacation spot, Travel + Leisure’s list might just spark some ideas. And while not everyone will agree with their choices, there’s no denying that each city has its own special charm and allure that make them worth a visit!
