Bridge Over the River Cetina Completed

Exciting news from Dalmatia – the bridge over the river Cetina is finally connected! This milestone comes after a fantastic year in the region, starting with the opening of the Peljesac Bridge, which connects the mainland with the Peljesac Peninsula. The bridge was a great success and has been eagerly awaited by locals and visitors for years.

Another highlight is now the recently opened bridge over the river Cetina. This 216 metre long bridge will be part of the Omis bypass project. This project will help alleviate the significant traffic problems along the coastal road from Split to Omis and includes the construction of the expressway from Stobrec, Dugi Rat and Omis.

The bypass is expected to be fully opened by the end of 2025 and will significantly improve traffic flow, especially in Omis, which can become a bottleneck during the high season.
