Experience the beauty and culture of the Dalmatian islands with our three-day island getaway. Our tour itinerary is crafted to showcase the vibrant energy of Hvar and the serene landscapes of Vis. As you discover stunning beaches, historic sites, and local cuisine, bask in the warm embrace of the Mediterranean sun.
Day 1: Our journey begins from Split, where we’ll catch a morning ferry to Hvar. Upon arrival, you’ll be able to explore the charismatic Hvar town, famed for its historic gems like the Hvar Fortress. With panoramic views of the island and the shimmering sea, this fortress offers incredible photo opportunities. Spend the rest of the day unwinding at one of the island’s pristine beaches, soaking up the sun and the relaxing atmosphere. Overnight stay will be in Hvar.
Day 2: We’ll kick off the second day with a ferry ride from Hvar to the tranquil island of Vis. We’ll pay a visit to the mesmerizing Blue Cave on Biševo Island, where you’ll witness the magical play of light and water. Later, we’ll explore the rustic town of Komiža, known for its rich fishing history and cozy stone houses.
Day 3: The last day is dedicated to immersing yourself in the beauty of Vis. Try local wines at one of the island’s vineyards and visit the intriguing military tunnels from the Yugoslav era. As the day winds down, we’ll catch the evening ferry back to Split, taking with us unforgettable memories and stories of these beautiful islands.
In Hvar, we suggest Hotel Podstine, a tranquil beachfront property, Amfora Hvar Grand Beach Resort, known for its sprawling pool complex and sea views, or Villa Nora Hvar, a charming boutique hotel set in a historic palace.
While in Hvar, indulge in a meal at Dalmatino Hvar, a local favorite known for its fusion of traditional and modern dishes, or try the seafood at Gariful Hvar, where the catch of the day is served with a stunning sea view. In Vis, have a meal at Pojoda, known for its garden setting and fresh seafood, or Konoba Stončica, a charming tavern nestled in a beautiful bay and renowned for its traditional Croatian dishes.
Ferries are the most convenient way to travel between Split, Hvar, and Vis. You can find daily ferry schedules with Jadrolinija or Krilo. Car and scooter rentals are available on both islands for exploring at your own pace, and taxi boats can be used for short hops to nearby islands and secluded beaches.
